Life here

Life here is different.
There are no children crying out on the streets
No drunk parents being dragged by their kids
People laugh, love, work, eat and live happily here.
Why?
Why is it so different here?
Why youths in my neighborhood had sad looks?
Why kids in my neighborhood played in dumping grounds instead of playgrounds?
Yet, it was better than life in other parts of the world.
Way better!
Why kids in some places have no water to drink?
Nothing to eat?
Nowhere to sleep?
Did they do something wrong?
I dare you to say ‘hmm’.
I don’t want to nod and pretend to accept it as it is now.
I want all of us to live happy life.
Life here is different.
Soon enough, life here will be life everywhere.
